Playwriting

Adam is a playwright based in Fairfield, CT. He has had many of his works developed and produced at his university and beyond, and now serves as Sacred Heart University's TheatreFest Chair, helping other students write and produce their works within the Theatre Arts Program. He is a member of the Dramatists Guild and the Theatre Artists Workshop. Credits include:

Ice Break
Ice Break is a ten-minute play about a phone call between two estranged friends, Camden and Joshua. Sparked by Camden's new understanding of his sexuality, the two revisit long-buried emotions, memories, and confront the fracture of their friendship. In a tight, quiet, tense conversation, staged like a dance between the two, the former friends trace the fragile line between their ruptured past and the possibility of their reconnection.
Ice Break debuted at the Eclectic Full Contact Theatre's 5th Annual Patchwork Play Fest in Chicago IL, 2026.
It recieved Best Play Award by their Judge Panel.
Sfumato
In the spattered canvas of the late 90s art scene, Sfumato, a One-Act Play, follows the whirlwind relationship of Peter Leroux and Delaney Blaine, two ambitious young artists navigating newfound creativity, ambition, and love. Though at first pure, their romance soon becomes rivalry, sparked and fanned by Dr. Carbone, their erratic art teacher As Carbone's unorthodox methods clash with Professor Albini, a traditionalist who curates her museum with an iron fist, their battle of ideologies creates ripples that affect not just them but their students. Peter and Delaney, caught in the crossfire, find themselves plunged into a rivalry shaped by a lofty, short-sighted test of “great art.” As the classroom becomes a battleground for artistic expression, all must confront their arrogance, vulnerabilities, and insecurities- while in impassioned pursuit of artistic beauty.

The Peppercorn Trick
The Peppercorn Trick is an absurd, darkly comic one-act play that follows Bailey, a stoner, during a late-night spiral in his basement, is forced to confront the fallout of a past relationship. As he moves between the present and memories from a year earlier, the play reveals how his relationship with another stoner, Mara, ended. What begins as a quiet night quickly escalatesm pushing Bailey to face both the consequences of his actions and the apology he has long avoided. The play ultimately explores guilt, accountability, and the difficulty of taking responsibility.

Calliope
Calliope is a One-Act Play about a family’s struggle to cope with tragedy, told through a cryptic encounter with a circus and its Fortune Teller. As the present setting of the circus and the imagined setting of the family’s tumultuous dining room conversations meld together, Calliope, a stubborn and precocious girl, relives her chaotic relationships with her family; mother, father, and twin sister. The Fortune Teller’s tarot card readings guiding Calliope through the processing of her family’s fresh trauma, this one-act play explores how truth can be distorted or perverted in the face of tragedy.

Metronome
Metronome is a One-Act Play about a poet who clings to form as he writes, adhering to strict poetic structure and following the ticking of a metronome on his desk. As this rigid obstinance takes form in his budding relationships, the poet is challenged to question his once-secure worldview. Does his life need this rigid order? Does his poetry?
Metronome debuted at Sacred Heart University, 2024.
Before the Bar
Before the Bar is an intimate one-act drama set in a moody jazz bar where the music mirrors the escalating tension. The story follows Jamie Collins, a fragile, intoxicated patron seeking sober clarity after a troubling intimate encounter with the seductive, youthfully ignorant jazz singer, Jordan Amaretto. As Jamie confides in the bartender, Morgan Rickey, the facades of charm, fame, and consent begin to unravel. Then, when Jordan unexpectedly returns to the stage, seemingly unaware or unwilling to acknowledge the harm caused, the bar becomes a hotbed for confrontation. In a space where illusion and reality collide, Before the Bar explores what it means to be unseen, unheard, and desperate for truth.
